Melina is an illustrious flourishing Litigation expert with over 20 years of experience in the legal practice. She has been involved in massive infrastructural development projects involving agreements between Municipal authorities, Building Societies, Financial Institutions, Property Developers and individual beneficiaries. She has handled all aspects on conveyancing work including: registrations and transfers of property, registration of Mortgage and Notarial Bonds; and general advice on tax matters in property transfers; securities, share block schemes and sectional titles. As a longest serving member of the Council for Estate Administrators and being a seasoned litigator, Melina has successfully advised, prosecuted for, defended, and represented over a dozen major Commercial Banks and Corporate bodies in the Region. She currently sits on the board of Interfresh Limited and has previously sat on numerous other boards including those for the Southern Africa Aids Trust, the Southern Africa Reinsurance Corporation (now FBC Reinsurance) and Pensions Commission (IPEC). Jethro boasts strong business acumen flavored by his long experience in advising industrial and commercial corporations as well as local authorities on employment contracts, codes of conduct, retrenchment procedures and workplace disputes.Having worked with companies which are highly regulated, Jethro has a deep knowledge, understanding, expertise and experience in dealing with complicated regulatory and compliance issues. He has done work for a vast number of mining and industrial corporations notably, Zimbabwe Steel Company Limited, Lancashire Steel Limited, ZIMASCO (Private) Limited and Homestake Mining and Tech Services as well as TM Transport (Private) Limited. Legal Practitioner, Notary Public and Conveyancer of nearly 60 years, Louis Henry Bennett is one half of the Founding named partners of the Firm. He embodies the solid foundations upon which the firm is built. In 1995, Mr Bennett sold his interest in the practice and joined Kantor & Immerman Legal Practitioners as Consultant for 20 years, until October 2015. He rejoined Wilmot and Bennett as a Consultant with experience in all aspects of commercial law and mining law. Mr Bennett has handled high value transfers and management of immoveable properties and sat on various boards including CABS. He has harnessed the niche market of high value local conglomerates and international companies such as Globe & Phoenix blending links into significant partnerships among financial institutions, local authorities and corporate entities. Edwin Mtudza is a holder of a Masters in Intellectual Property and a Bachelor of Arts in Law Degree with Honours. He is a registered Intellectual Property (IP) Expert who has worked with the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He has expertise in structuring IP Departments and developing IP policies. Edwin has presided over Alternative IP Dispute Resolution Matters and successfully registered IP protection and valuation for corporates and individuals. Hillary Rgwaringesu is a Legal Practitioner Conveyancer and Notary Public. Hillary specializes in corporate law, property law, family law and criminal law with a focus on mediation and litigation. He also has experience in advanced legal drafting owing to his pupilage under an Advocate of the High Court and Supreme Court of Zimbabwe. Hillary launched his legal career in the NGO set-up where he developed an interest for Development Law. In this regard Hillary is also a qualified Project Manager with the University of Zimbabwe. Maxine Matshiya is a bearer of a n LLB in Law (University of Portsmouth ) and a Masters Degree in International Human Rights with International Commercial Law at (University of Nottingham )i. In her time in the UK, Maxine volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau where she developed critical skills in drafting legal documents as well as honed in on her interpersonal skills. She then returned to Zimbabwe where she joined Wilmot and Bennett Legal Practitioners in 2019 and has developed a particular interest in Commercial law, Criminal Law, Property law and Family law.
